Please tell us a bit about yourself and your class.

Ja'kobi: Hi! My name is Ja'kobi. I'm 11 and my grade is fifth. The name of my class is STEM with Mx. Gomez Bye!

What’s your favorite part about Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV)?

Ja'kobi: My favorite part about SBEV is our different classes and fun things to do. We get to pick our classes!

What would you tell other students considering SBEV?

Ja'kobi: I would tell them -- I would say to come to my class. Each class is honestly a good thing. Basketball, STEM, everything is basically good.

What makes SBEV unique?

Ja'kobi: What makes SBEV unique is that they have a lot of classes, they treat you correctly, they treat you the same as they do everybody.

What attracted you to take this class?

Ja'kobi: What attracted me to take this class was like, I wanted to learn about computers, I wanted to make my own games, I wanted to do all that. Yeah!

How did the class meet or surpass your expectations?

Ja'kobi: It surpassed my [expectations] because I I didn't know much things about computers until they taught me.

How did the instructor help bring the material to life for you?

Ja'kobi: She taught us how to be respectful. She taught us about computers. She taught us about -- She gave us chill time. We do a lot. She gives us a lot of materials to help us learn.
