Speaker: Michael Rapino, Creative Director & Senior Partner at Mediastead
Michael Rapino: It is very, very nice to have everything all in one place for us, but also, visible to our clients so that they can see that, A, we're working for them, and where we are within the realm of their project.
Michael Rapino: Hi, my name is Michael and I run a small boutique marketing agency where we specialize in web development. We help our clients develop their online presence, we manage websites, we do SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, uh, and so on in order to help local businesses, bring in more leads and grow.
What problem were you trying to solve when you gave Sydnee a try?
Michael Rapino: For the longest time. All of the tasks that our clients had, all of the requests that our clients had, all of the internal tasks that we had for ourselves as well as uh collaborative tasks for the team, uh, they all came through, through email communications with our clients, and then, uh, we've gone through so many productivity platforms that didn't really hit the mark. The, the problem we were trying to solve was A, Uh, you know, emails getting lost, too many email requests, uh, clients sending requests and piecemeal over several emails, uh, everything sort of being disconnected, and we wanted to bring all of that into one single place where we can manage our clients successfully, have, give them a platform where they can request. That we do things through uh uh a portal uh like Sydnee, to make sure that nothing gets lost, and everything gets done on time, uh all the tasks are assigned to the correct person, and uh Sydnee has been, Really the only platform that does this well and keeps things simple instead of having all of these cumbersome, uh, confusing ways that everything is connected. So I, I, uh, have really been enjoying using Sydnee as uh the portal for all of my clients, testing, that theory and putting it to work, and it's been very, very good, for our productivity as we move into the next phase of our business.
What’s your favorite feature - and how has it helped you in your work?
Michael Rapino: I don't necessarily have a favorite feature, but if I had to choose a feature that has been paramount in the shift in our productivity, it would be the, The way that the tasks are. Controlled internally within every portal, but also unified in our agency home screen where we can see all the tasks from every single one of our clients in one place organized chronologically to help us stay on task with all of the projects that we have going on, so that we're not jumping, Back and forth between a whole bunch of portals in order to find out what we have to do, everything is pulled from the portals into this unified inbox, that is extremely helpful, as opposed to us, grabbing tasks from email, putting it into, you know, to do list as an example. Uh, our clients have no idea where we are in our, in progress with their projects because they don't have access to see our internal productivity systems. It is very, very nice to have everything all in one place for us, but also, uh, visible to our clients so that they can see that, A, we're working for them, and, where we are within the realm of their project. It's, it's very useful and I do love that aspect of Sydnee.
If you had to describe Sydnee in a short phrase, what would it be?
Michael Rapino: Simply puts, for for me, is Sydnee is a unified client management system. Period. A unified client management system.
Anything you’d like to say to someone who’s thinking about trying Sydnee?
Michael Rapino: Yeah, I would say just. Jump right in, just, uh, you know, get in there and start to. Organize your agency or your business, it has been so useful for us. Especially when you have client buy-in and everybody is using the same system, it is a beautiful thing, you know, before we had clients who liked to communicate via email, who liked to communicate via phone calls or text messages, and all the requests were coming at us from all different sides and we had to, You know, quickly organize them into an internal system that they didn't have access to, you know, Sydnee allows us to. On board a client into their own portal, it feels, it feels nice for them because they have a system that we give them, that is, you know, proprietary, it's theirs, you know, we, we have this nice internal structure now where, you know, it, it's an, an extra benefit. For our clients, you know, it's not just a thing that we're trying to make them use, it's actually a benefit of being a client of us versus maybe our competitors who don't have something like a client portal. So, I would say get in there, uh, figure out how best to use it for you, uh, I know we're still constantly tweaking things and making, making things easier for ourselves and our clients as we learn. How people like to use the system, but ultimately it's just a matter of getting in there and, and making that decision, so good luck and uh I hope you have uh as much success with it as we have.
