Community Engagement with Zach & Jen

Speaker: Zach, People Team, Sunrun

Zach: Hi, my name is Zach and I'm a member of the people team here at Sunrun. This year, I used my volunteer time to meet up with another local Sunrun member. And we wanted to volunteer through an organization that was focused on an Earth day cleanup. more specifically a, a river cleanup and we ended up meeting up with the group, everyone was there and we just throw on some gloves, walked down to the river and for about a mile or so, just skim that river's edge, picking up any trash that had accumulated along the edge. And yeah, at the end of the day, we had two full trash bags worth and it was just a very rewarding experience. Overall. It's cool that Sunrun has this volunteer time for us. It always gets put to great use. Last year, we organized a group of Sunrunners planting trees in the area. And this year it was the river cleanup. So, like I said, always a really great use of time, a wonderful way to just spend an afternoon.
