Speaker: Janalee, Professional Engineering Supervisor, Sunrun
What does Women's History Month mean to you?
Janalee: Hello, everyone. My name is Janalee I'm a supervisor on the professional engineering team. Women's History Month is meaningful to me because it is a month where we get to celebrate how far women have come and how the women before us have accomplished so much and paved the way for our future. It is a reminder that we need to continue fighting for change and supporting one another and empowering one another.
How does Sunrun create a safe space to be your authentic self?
Janalee: I believe Sunrun creates a safe space for me to be my authentic self because I have felt so many great relationships here. I've met so many supportive people that have helped me come out of shell and have encouraged me to be who I am today. I also am part of the women's ERG and it has been one of the most meaningful experiences I've had here at Sunrun thus far. I really hope that I can continue working with the ERG and supporting women and helping them grow and feel like they can be their authentic selves at Sunrun.
