What does a typical day look like?
Joe: A typical day for me will start around five a.m. I'll wake up, get myself ready to make my son lunch and be out the door before my family is even awake. And then I'll get to the shop around 6:00 and get right to work, making sure that I have everything I need for the day before we roll out to the job site and then when we arrive on site, the first thing I do is greet the homeowner to introduce myself, then we go over the plans together to make sure they're 100% comfortable with the process and happy with the design. Then the crew gets right to work setting the ladder up, checking our ropes and harnesses, setting anchors on the roof mapping, drilling and taking care of business. Once we get that far, I have to take a few pictures for the FIC And then we get off the roof and start making panels. Once we have our panels made, we get on the roof and start landing them and then once the razor installed and look absolutely perfect and the panels are all connected, I'll start taking final raise in the last of my roof photos for the FIC After that, I'll get off the roof and upload all the photos for the job and go over everything with the homeowner, making sure that they're 100% happy and ecstatic about all the panels that are on the roof and think that they look perfect, which is what I love.
What do you enjoy most about being a Sunrunner?
Joe: As a Sunrunner, I enjoy being able to challenge myself in new ways. Every single day. Every day brings different obstacles that I feel accomplished. Overcoming with the help of my crew, I took a lot of pride in what I do because it took a lot of hard work, dedication and motivation to get where I am today. I look forward to my work every day because of my crew and the drive that they have to make the homeowners happy and excited about getting solar.
