Speakers: Dean
What album are you reviewing?
Dean: I'm doing a review of The Hart by American band Grayscale.
Tell us about The Hart
Dean: I really enjoyed The Hart I've been a fan of Greyscale for quite a while now. This album really highlights how they've grown as musicians and lyricists and continue to write songs that are so open and emotional and raw for them. I've been a fan for quite a while now. I was introduced to them through a random Spotify playlist of bands you might like, with one of their tracks from their first album. and I haven't been able to find a song that I don't really like from Grayscale. It's been a long journey. I never thought that they would get to the scales that they're getting to now, and it's been fantastic to see that they're getting the recognition that they deserve.
What was your favourite song?
Dean: I couldn't actually pick one song off the album that I really enjoyed. There's actually 3! It's tracks 3, 4, and 5. So "Talking in my Sleep, because it's a very raw song, with very open and honest lyrics. I really enjoyed "Let Go" because it's just got a thumping, insane driving bass line. And, just a really fun song is "Summer Clothes", which I just really enjoyed because it was an upbeat song.
