What would you tell another educator who is considering Studies Weekly?
Lindsay E.: I think what I would tell another educator who is considering using Studies Weekly is to make sure that you're using the teacher booklet component as well. There's a lot of activities on there that make learning fun. They also start to incorporate those ELAR strategies that those students need, and it's just another fun way to check for your students' understanding, as opposed to just reading the article and answering the questions, to make it more interactive and extend that lesson.
What are your favorite features?
Lindsay E.: The features of Studies Weekly that I find the most valuable would be that it auto-grades — that saves me time and energy in being able to input grades quickly for my students. I also love that it already has oral admin for all students; that way it's a leveled ability. I don't have to go in and assign any extra components for that to work. The videos are also great. It helps students more connect with things that they don't necessarily have some background knowledge on, and they love to just see the different battles and different real-life stories that are embedded in there. I also love that it has an assessment already built at the end, and that you can kind of change up that assessment and assign parts that you want or don't want. So that makes it easier as well.
