Andrew Montgomery: Hello, I'm Andrew Montgomery, known by my colleagues and industry peers as Monty. So I have been in data for 18 years, my whole career, which is crazy to think about and I'd be lying if I said I landed on this job on purpose. I didn't but I do absolutely love it.
What will you be speaking about at the Connected Enterprise Forum?
Andrew Montgomery: So my session is going to be about realizing the value of data. It really puts the data engineer as the main character in this story. And that's because there are a lot of quick wins that with the right tools processes and support, we can really unleash the power of the data engineers you already have. And I use the term 'stop administrating and start innovating' quite a lot in my presentations. If you come to the session, you get to hear a lot more on why. But essentially this is a conversation about data engineers and how to drive more value from them and how leaders can take action to empower that process.
Andrew Montgomery: I'm tailoring the conversation around actions data leaders can take. So as a data leader, you could come learn how there are simple decisions that can be taken to unblock and empower data engineers and their way of working, which ultimately lead to better data quality delivered more often with less burnout.
