Speaker: Patrick Waldo, CEO, UnicornForms
Please describe your reasoning for exhibiting at EDTECH WEEK's Gallery of Innovation
Patrick Waldo: Hi, my name is Patrick Waldo, founder of Unicorn Forums. I've exhibited twice now at, at tech Week and it's just been phenomenal. I have to say when people ask me whether or not they should go or participate in star or anything else, I say, do it, you know, just go, you'll see, Ash Kelly and the team do a wonderful job of on boarding their start ups so that they can maximize their time. And really, it's just a wonderful opportunity to meet potential investors as well as clients and of course, fellow travelers in the space space, the start ups that are doing tech work, you'll leave inspired at the very least, if not with some amazing opportunities.
What outcomes, if any, came from participating in EDTECH WEEK's Gallery of Innovation?
Patrick Waldo: At tech week 2023 was actually really awesome for us. Uh We went into it really trying to raise awareness because in the prior year, we had exhibited for our first time. So since we already had gone through the process, I really wanted to maximize the time that I had there. Now that I, you know, knew the ropes already, the outcomes were pretty clear. We made some pretty amazing partnership uh with an integrator with SI S systems, which is accelerating our room up there. We also met some amazing new clients there as well. Uh And overall, we got the word out, you know, people had already kind of heard of us. And so from a brand awareness perspective, it was really, really important that we attended. Um And we made some really good connections. So it was really good.
What are your startups's recent "wins"?
Patrick Waldo: 2024 has been a really awesome year for unicorn forms. We kicked it off as co sponsors for code launch, ran into South by Southwest. And most recently we became a portfolio company at the capital factory in Austin, Texas, which is the largest accelerator in the state. So this is a huge opportunity for us, but we wouldn't have gotten here with the started accelerator and without the started team rooting for us along the way and the started community for supporting us, you know, reaching out to us participating in that tech week and, you know, becoming clients at the end of the day, but we are going to have a banner year in 2024. So we're really looking forward to start 2024 coming in October.
