Please describe your reasoning for joining StartEd's Fundraising Program
Angela McIver: Hi, I'm Angela mcivor. I am founder and Ceo of Trapezium. Math. I joined the start founders, um boot camp last year before a sutse and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was absolutely 100% worth the investment. Um If there was one thing that really helped us catapult our fundraising, it was the round table discussion during a SUGSB where we had an opportunity to meet with V CS and hear what they were looking for and make connections and network. That was amazing. But what also was so helpful because a SUGSV is incredibly overwhelming. If you're a first timer was just the support uh ahead of the conference in helping to navigate and plan for um attendance, you know, you can get so much out of it. But if you don't know where to start, then um you're spending a lot of money for a little return. So the return on investment of a start ed um uh boot camp is 100% worth it. And I highly recommend any uh founder who is new to a SUGSV or new to fundraising or just trying to get connected in network to uh seriously consider uh participation. Thanks.
Which program components were particularly useful for your startup?
Angela McIver: I, I would say that the most useful parts of the start program were in order the in real life roundtable um networking discussions with the V CS. Um the uh feedback on how to navigate a SUGSV um strategizing and the pitch deck support. Actually, everything, everything was great. I, I can't necessarily put it in, in, in order. But if I were forced to, that's what it would be. Thanks.
What outcomes, if any, came from the investor roundtables?
Angela McIver: OK. The investor roundtables yielded several advisors who have helped me um and connected me with um individuals who have helped us move forward in our revenue generation and our sales and, and everything. Um investors. Uh It just helped with so many things. Uh I, I had scheduled many meetings after the IRL round table um that I continue to talk to this day, several of the investors, we were precede, we were raising a bridge round last year, so they weren't quite ready, but I have started, you know, have been having conversations and, and, and keeping people up to date. So when they are ready, they know who we are and that is huge. So it's been wonderful.
