Speaker: Erika Yoder
Please introduce yourself and let us know how long your student has been in coaching!
Erika Yoder: Hi, my name is Erica and I've got two boys in coaching. Our oldest son has been coaching for well over a year and our next son is coming up on a year with coaching.
What was your initial motivation for enrolling your child into Student Coaching?
Erika Yoder: In high school, my oldest son made some decisions that created some obstacles for him. And that's what initially brought us to coaching. And after we saw how helpful it was to our oldest son, we thought it would be good for our younger son to have coaching as well. Um His reasons were completely different. He had some really lofty goals that he wanted to attain. And um we thought coaching would be great for him and it has been
How do you feel about your child's coach selection? AND Were they a good fit?
Erika Yoder: Our older son coaches with Andrew and our younger son coaches with Robert. And it's really fun to see that. They're all actually such a good fit for one another. So we're really pleased with who their coaches are and just grateful for, um, helping them along their journey.
What is one thing that your child has learned in coaching that you have seen them implement in their life?
Erika Yoder: Our boys have been in coaching for a while now. So they've gained a lot of tools whether it's from, you know, visualizing mindset, writing goals, setting goals, um the power of our words, it's just been a lot of really great things to help them navigate their lives.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about enrolling their child into coaching?
Erika Yoder: If someone were considering coaching, I would encourage them to consider all the things from scheduling, the commitment, the finances, like all of those things do need to be thought through. Um, I know that for my husband and I it really came down to us seeing the value and having someone else come alongside our boys to help them navigate life. Um We really felt like it's been such a compliment to what we're doing in our home. So, yeah, that's our story and we're really grateful. Thank you, Robert. Thank you, Andrew.
