Speakers: Dana F, SI/Raleigh. Mary H, SI/Woodbridge
Dana F: So I've always been my own boss and pretty much worked alone and with decent success. But being part of a group of powerful, capable and intelligent women and having that as an internal resource increases all of our collective power exponentially. This allows us to model just how powerful a community of like minded women can be.
Mary H: You know, I agree that no superhero works alone, Or in our case, no superhero works alone. One of the most impressive things about our organization Soroptimist International Woodbridge I found is that each woman brings her own unique set of skills and abilities to the organization. You know, some are better at organizing and planning. Others are better at fundraising and marketing. Some seek leadership positions and others enjoy more working in the background. So whether it's a fundraiser or a ceremony or a concert or whatever, it is a community project, all of the women bring their own unique set of skills and the thing that I like about it and enjoy about it is that they're all needed. They're all applauded and they're all appreciated in getting to where we want to go and helping to empower other women and girls to achieve their best. Thank you.
