What have you enjoyed most about your membership in SocialMedia.org?

Ingrid Kibler: Two things that I've enjoyed most about SocialMedia.org is the exclusivity and talking to people that are just like me in the industry. I can connect with any peer at any reputable brand that's going through the exact same things that I'm going through in a confidential, offline way, so that I can have candid, honest conversations with them. These are the types of conversations I haven't found that I can have anywhere else in public forums or in conferences, and so that exclusivity, that confidentiality of talking to people just like me is something that I've really enjoyed about SocialMedia.org.

Could you describe a time when the community helped you?

Ingrid Kibler: There was a time when I needed to have a pretty quick recommendation to a different incident that was going on internally that our brand had not had experience with yet. So I reached out to SocialMedia.org, and I asked, 'Are there any individuals at the brands that we're aware of, who have gone through this before that they can connect with me offline?' And SocialMedia.org replied very, very quickly and connected me to those individuals. I was able to have those conversations offline and come back pretty quickly internally with what we needed to do in the direction that we needed to head. So that was fantastic for me. And that was the time that SocialMedia.org helped me.

What sets SocialMedia.org apart from other organizations?

Ingrid Kibler: SocialMedia.org is different from other organizations in that the conversation keeps going. There are times when you go to public conferences or forums or join different groups, and sometimes the conversation lags. But this is an organization that really works hard at evolving with us as the industry changes and to keep that conversation going. So as these incidents happen, as real-time crises happen that impact the whole world that brands need to respond to, as technological changes come through, SocialMedia.org does a fantastic job in evolving with us and making sure that they are still relevant and the conversation keeps going. So that reliability and that credibility is always there.
