Speaker: Richelle Vallier, Speech-Language Pathologist, Eaton County RESA

Richelle Vallier: Hi, my name is Richelle Vallier. I've been a speech pathologist in the schools for 4.5 years. This is year five for me.

Richelle Vallier: SLP Toolkit houses my entire job - my schedule, my kids' goals, my caseload, the reports that I can pull up, my teachers' reports for their kids' speech times. All of my data, is housed there.

Richelle Vallier: When I first started my job, for the first three years I was here, my personal goal was that I would complete my Medicaid monthly summaries on time, which is by the end of the second week of the following month. And I really struggled. Medicaid was not my thing. I knew that that was like the thing that was on the back burner for me. But you know, my employers are very stickler with it, which makes sense. Funding is huge. And so with the help of SLP Toolkit, I was able to achieve that goal. I have a system now where while my students are sitting here, I complete a note for them that simply says, you know, so and so was able to produce whatever sound with whatever accuracy at this level, given whatever prompts. And other little notes that I might, that I might add. It takes me about 30 seconds to type that, like maximum. And then I just copy and paste it right into my online system, the billing. So then at the end of the month, when it's time for me to bill, all I have to do is pull up all of those logs and create my summary. It has saved my time. It has saved my sanity. I suggest Toolkit to basically every SLP, especially in the schools, that I know. It has really helped immensely with my organization.

Richelle Vallier: It's easy to figure out. And also in the midst of COVID and all these other things, it's been a way for, if I needed coverage from another speech path, all they have to do is log onto my Toolkit and they have my schedule. They have my kids' schools. They have how they've been doing. And what I've been doing with them. So that's been a huge, a huge plus as well. Yeah, Toolkit is worth the money. It saves my mental health. It saves my stress levels. My sanity. I just can't, I can't talk about it enough and tell you all of the good things, possibly in the amount of time that I have. But it's definitely worth a shot and you should definitely try it.
