Speaker: Sarah Kingston
How was the process of signing up to Sky's the Limit? How was the process of applying for a grant?
Sarah Kingston: Signing up for the sky is the limit platform was really easy for us as was applying for the rolling monthly grants. That's something that we really appreciate as time strapped founders.
Why did you decide to sign up for Sky's the Limit?
Sarah Kingston: Building a start up can be so overwhelming. So having access to mentors with a lot of expertise in different areas, can be such a helpful thing to have access to as well as opportunities for funding and practicing pitching.
If you won a Sky's the Limit grant, what was the money used for?
Sarah Kingston: I'm lucky enough to win grants in Two Sky's the limit pitch competitions. And the funds from that went towards the development of our tech platform to help good businesses thrive. It was so helpful at the time.
Please give us an example of some of the support you've received from the Sky's the Limit community.
Sarah Kingston: When I first joined the platform, a really helpful member had a look at our pitch deck and gave me extremely useful feedback. Um And I've really benefited from taking part in sky's the limit pitch competitions uh where we have presented to accenture employees and got detailed feedback on our pitching style, our pitch deck itself, our proposition in general. And, and that really, really helped us when we were going forward into other pitches that just genuine, really honest feedback couldn't have asked for more.
Would you recommend Sky's the Limit and why?
Sarah Kingston: I would really recommend Sky's limit to other founders who are looking for a community, expert mentorship and the opportunity to get grants. It's made a really big difference to us and we couldn't be happier being part of it.
