How was the process of signing up to Sky's the Limit? How was the process of applying for a grant?
Patrick Bridgeman: The process of signing up for Sky's. The limit was super simple. Uh I was signing up, it was like signing up for almost anything else on the internet nowadays. Uh And the grant process applying for that was pretty simple as well. They gave a lot of examples of uh other people who had previously applied and what their videos and things of that nature looked like. So it was pretty easy, simple, quick process.
Why did you decide to sign up for Sky's the Limit?
Patrick Bridgeman: I decided to sign up for Sky is the limit because uh being a solo entrepreneur can be very lonely. Um And uh there's a lot that I don't know and you don't know what you don't know. So I wanted to get the mentorship. I wanted to get uh the opportunities to be able to be um uh in the company of other entrepreneurs and uh to figure out, you know, the best ways to move forward with my business in a way that I hadn't previously considered. And so far Sky is the limit has helped me to do that.
If you won a Sky's the Limit grant, what was the money used for?
Patrick Bridgeman: Uh I was a recipient of a second place in one of the sky is the limit pitch competitions. Uh So I was able to take the funding that I received from that pitch competition and apply it towards my business for uh different operational items that we needed to uh get taken care of. So it was right on time, it was like the perfect amount. Uh And I was very excited about being able to participate and uh come away with uh the place that I did.
Please give us an example of some of the support you've received from the Sky's the Limit community.
Patrick Bridgeman: I've received a lot of support from the Sky's the limit community uh from the other entrepreneurs on the platform who've reached out to me and who I've reached out to and been able to connect with uh on and off the platform uh to the mentors who've been able to connect with me and jump on a call on the platform and, and have those kinds of conversations about business issues and problems that I was trying, I was trying to solve uh to the folks at Sky's Limit themselves. I really want to shout out Bo and Lauren. Uh they've been uh kind of a rock for me. Um They reach out to me uh ever so often to make sure that, you know, I'm doing the things that I'm supposed to be doing. Uh B has uh sat with me and gone through different iterations of my pitch. Lauren has put me into uh uh different connections with different mentors and other entrepreneurs and uh constantly follows up with me to make sure that, you know, that I'm OK and that I am building and, you know, holds me accountable to make sure that I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing and uh make sure that I'm included on uh all the events that sky is the limit has going on that uh pertain to my particular business. So, uh it's just been an amazing uh opportunity. Being able to be a part of the sky is the limit community and it does really feel like community.
Would you recommend Sky's the Limit and why?
Patrick Bridgeman: I absolutely would recommend uh participating in the Sky is the limit community. Uh There's so much that comes along with being part of that community. Um And it truly is that community. Uh but on top of that, there's so much avenues for growth, for business uh and being able to connect you with the right people, events, uh programs, accountability, inspiration, things of that nature uh that you just can't really find anywhere else. So I would 100% recommend that if you're an entrepreneur, especially if you're just getting started that you uh join Sky is the limit.
