James Jones: Hi, my name is James Jones. And first of all, I'd like to thank you for the opportunity and awarding me with this year's SkillPointe Foundation scholarship. It means a lot to me and my family.
James Jones: A little about myself and In 2020, like many others, I was affected by COVID. The area that I was working in was greatly affected.
James Jones: Like many others, had to try to restart over and one of the careers that I saw that was in high demand and continued to, to thrive during COVID was the construction industry. That made me think, made me excited about trying to get in the field. So I enrolled at Atlantic Technical College for electrical program.
James Jones: I want to thank you for assisting me and continuing my journey and dream of being an electrician.
James Jones: I would like to give others the opportunity to be able to, to provide and help their family as well as give back such as you guys have given to me. So again, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you guys. You guys have made a tremendous difference in my life that you will never understand. And I thank you so much for this opportunity.
