Michael M: Bies Family Scholarship Recipient: Hello, my name is Michael Moton and I'm currently enrolled at Macomb Community College located in Warren Michigan in the General Motors ASEP program. I was recently awarded the Bies Family Automotive Maintenance scholarship. This scholarship was basically a lifesaver for me. I enrolled in classes at the age of 39 and I planned to go back to school for some months but a lot of things happened outside of my plans. And long story short, I, through a series of unfortunate events, I found myself basically having to decide if I was going to have to take a semester away from school and, and regroup and get my funds together because I had a previous balance. But I was awarded a scholarship and that scholarship literally allowed me to continue.
Michael M: Bies Family Scholarship Recipient: I just, I wanna say how, how much I appreciate. what it is that you all do. I mean, how grateful I am for it. It's no doubt helped countless people to continue or even finish their education and pursue. Well, in my case, my dream career, what I wanna do. I enrolled in school at 39. I just, I wanted to follow my passion, what it is that I always loved to do and always wanted to do. and I found a program that allowed me to do that and with the help of you guys in a scholarship fund, I'm able to continue that. I was having some hardship and thought that I was going to have to uh put that dream on pause. But thanks to you guys', generosity, I don't have to do that and I can continue, continue on and go ahead and finish the program. and it means a lot to me and, one day I hopefully I'm in the position to be able to if not be a donor myself, give to a scholarship fund to help others that might be in the same position as I am one day.
