Please share your personal story and how The Home Depot Foundation Scholarship impacts you and your future.
James Bellile: Hi, my name is James Bellile. I'm a student at Fox Valley Technical College. I'm an unconventional student; I'm actually 45 years old. This program that I am in currently is the Construction Management Technology Program for an Associates degree. I have aspirations to do an independent technical studies program in green energy, green construction, and sustainable farming. My aspirations are to take all of these fields and make a better quality house, make a better quality neighborhood for each of us. And I'm really looking forward to my studies at Fox Valley Tech. I am a former U.S. Army active duty captain. I served from 2001 to 2005; 90 days after coming on active duty, 9/11 happened. So my tour was a lot more robust than a lot of people, and I really appreciate Home Depot giving me the scholarship and the opportunity to pursue this aspiration. I cannot say enough how grateful I am for the Home Depot Foundation Scholarship
