Matthew : Hi, my name's Matthew Sellen. I'm from Tonbridge in the UK.
Matthew : What I've enjoyed most about Sketch Awesome, I think, is the, the variety of different things that we've done, from people portraits to animals to landscapes... and using a wide variety of media... Pencils, inks, paints and so on. That's given me the confidence to try different things by myself as well as just following Phil's lessons.
Matthew : So, some... ...probably because Phil loves doing Ink and or ink pen over watercolour and it's probably a bit infectious and some of my favourite ones like these which are a couple of landscapes which is some watercolour - - splash around watercolour, put ink over the top of it and hey presto, it turns into something that looked initially really quite horrible and then suddenly became something which I really like. And another one that, that I really enjoyed doing more recently, a bit of watercolour and ink. But also the one in biro. This single line - - these ones are single line drawing. We did those in a couple of minutes each. And I really enjoyed doing single line stuff. It just makes me laugh. As I'm doing it, you can't take your pen off the paper and you know it's all going wrong, but you just can't stop it and you just carry on, and I really enjoyed that one. And, and this one I really enjoyed as well, which is just scribble and you just scribble it out and just keep on adding tone where you need to - and suddenly something appears. Yeah, I really enjoyed doing those ones.
Matthew : Yeah, I would unhesitatingly recommend Sketch Awesome to anyone that's interested in starting drawing and developing their drawing skills. It's just easy to follow, a variety of stuff and Phil's so enthusiastic and just goes through things at a really nice pace. You can speed up, slow down if you need to, but I've never felt the need to do that. And yeah, just doing his stuff has given me more confidence to do more different things and therefore enjoy doing more different things. It's great. So yeah, if you're thinking about doing something - Sketch Awesome. Always, yeah. No problem!
