Marian - UK: Hi, my name is Marian Pooran. I live in Essex in the UK in a small village called Fearing.
Marian - UK: Sketch Awesome has been an absolutely incredible Course for me to follow. I have developed a great deal of confidence in following the various projects every week, and I love having the weekly challenge of a project. These have been - all the projects I've kept in the recommended sketchbook and they have formed the basis of some very nice paintings, larger pieces of work that I've done. One of the things I've enjoyed most is the way in which Phil has encouraged each of us to look at different ways of dealing with the same subject. This has led to some very exciting artwork. You can see behind me one of my paintings of a tiger. Without the help of Phil and his team and this Course, I would nowhere near be good enough to actually put my work in a frame and hang it on my wall. This is an amazing Course!
Marian - UK: I've been asked to show you some of the work that I'm really proud of that I've managed to do on this Course. I don't know how easy it's going to be for me to hold up my sketchbook. This is one of the special projects that Phil challenged all of us to do and this is my record of a special rail trip my husband and I took of Europe. It was an amazing opportunity to fill out a couple of pages of the sketchbook to record the fabulous time we had. Here is another two pages of my sketchbook which was doing an art project in different ways. This actually led to a much bigger piece of work, once I'd sorted it out, which I actually sold to somebody else, who admired it so much. I can show you the finished painting. There it is. That's the finished painting which I'm absolutely so proud of. And was a real joy to do. I couldn't have done that without this Course and the guidance given to us by Phil.
