Speaker: Caroline Hill
Caroline Hill: Hello, I'm Caroline and I live in the southeast of the UK.
Caroline Hill: Sketch Awesome has helped me as an artist by giving me more confidence, and the two top things that I really liked was the variety of mediums that we used and also the the subjects that Phil chooses for us to do each week.
Caroline Hill: These are some of the examples of the lessons that we have done over the last course of the last year. And the good thing is that they're in these sketchbooks, so that you can find what you want really easily. So this, that one - - so enjoyable, watercolour and ink. Sorry, this is gonna be a bit fiddly! This was one of my absolute favourites! It's where it's timed exercises, which was really good, on 1 minute to 5 minutes. This is a lovely lesson... ...lovely tutorials. Landscapes. Same landscape, two different seasons. This is a lovely class. This is obviously Einstein, but yeah, the way that Phil teaches us how to do this portrait is brilliant! And last but by no means least... So this is coloured pencil - and it's reflections. Brilliant. Lessons, tutorials - all of them. Thank you, Phil.
Caroline Hill: I'd certainly recommend Sketch Awesome to other artists and for one reason alone, Phil is a brilliant artist and fantastic teacher. And although it sounds like a long course - 52 weeks - it's amazing how it flies by and Phil often does give us bonus lessons within each week's tutorial. So as far as value for money is concerned, it, it's a certainty. So yes, value for money is a, you know, a real thing. The variety of mediums that we use, Phil has come up with some wonderful examples of how we can be introduced to to mediums that we've never used before. I've never used gouache before but I certainly shall do again. But also another good thing is that we do Sketch Awesome in some sketchbooks and it's so nice to have them in in one place instead of perhaps having to go and search for another piece of paper or another type of paper. It's all done on the same type of paper. There's also a brilliant community, within Artkula and everyone is so supportive, kind, encouraging. Yes, it's, a lovely safe place to to be. And, yeah, whatever you do next Phil, count me in! count me in! So yes, anybody who does this, you will enjoy it. I can guarantee.
