Speaker: Sikeli, HM Armed Forces

When did you first hear about Serve and Protect Credit Union and why did you join?

Sikeli: Good morning. My name is Mr Sikeli Komainalawa and I've been a member of the [Serve and Protect] credit union now for quite a number of years. The first I heard about it was from a friend of mine. He actually recommended to me and I haven't looked back since then. The way it's been helping me, it helped me a lot of things with regards to finance about myself, about my family, and also other things that I need. And the good thing about being a member of the credit union, it helps a lot, help me with finance. And at the same time, you get to save money as well monthly, so you can put away a sum of money for you to save. So at the same time you're paying, but also save some money as well. And I would recommend for anyone to join them for all service, personnel, whether you're in the army or in the police or whatever service that you're joining at the moment. Thank you.

How has the credit union helped you?

Sikeli: So how does it help me? It helps me financially, according to what I need. And also give you an option of topping up your account yearly. And that's the best thing about it. And also, the payments for your monthly payments, came directly out of your pay from whichever service that you're serving on.

What is the best thing about being part of the credit union?

Sikeli: Best thing about being part of the credit police unit or union, sorry, is that you know that there's a service out there, for you to get help financially, without getting hustled from all the interest and other stuff that we always come across when you are asking for money. Like, for example, from the bank and other agencies. So that's probably the best thing about the Police [Serve and Protect] Credit Union.
