Could you describe your experience completing the SideBy Care Mind-Gut Program and how it has helped you?

Lexie F.: Hello. So, I'm Lexi, and I'm really excited to share about my experience with Side B Care because I've genuinely loved the program. I'm still in it. Uh, but I've been doing it for the last couple of weeks, and, uh, or more than a couple of weeks. I think. We're in like week 10 or 9 or something. It's been a while. Um, and it has been so good for me. Um, prior to this, I really struggled with my digestion. I struggled with feeling confident around food. I struggled with knowing what to eat. Um, and I just had like a really hard time, uh, particularly with like going to the bathroom regularly and, um, Just not feeling good. Like I felt low energy and things like that. But because of the program, I've learned about nutrition. I've learned about what foods to eat so that we, when I do things like work out, which I love to do. Before the program, when I would go to a workout, I often would not have the energy required to do a good workout, but because of the program and because I've now learned about nutrition and eating better, I'm finding that I'm making better choices in the kitchen. And even cooking more, which before I never cooked cause I don't like to cook, but now I've been cooking more, so I could see results. And as a result of that, I'm, I have a lot more energy, I feel better, and one of the other things that originally brought me to this program was struggling with feeling nauseous all the time. I didn't know what was triggering it. Um, but as a result of the things that I've learned on mindfulness, On the mind-gut connection. Um, I've been able to use like breathing techniques in moments where I feel nauseous and I don't have any, you know, anything to stop the nausea from happening, then I will use my breathing techniques. I also know, again, what foods to eat, um, so that way I can have enough energy or know how to like calm some of that down. Um, it's been really interesting also learning about the mind-gut connection and how the stomach is the second brain, uh, and so much of the things that we need are really made through the foods that we eat. And of course, it makes sense, but you never think about it. So, um, I'm very grateful for this program. It has been amazing. I'm gonna be kind of sad when I don't have it anymore, um, because I've really enjoyed, particularly working. With my people, um, Jessica and Chanel, they have been so wonderful. Um, I really love working with Chanel, and so, uh, I'm definitely sad, uh, what I'll be sad once that comes to an end. But so far, it has been such a great program and I highly recommend it.

How has the program impacted your daily life or health?

Lexie F.: Yeah, so I feel like the program has been helpful in impacting my daily life and my health in that one. I'm regularly using the bathroom, which was something that I wasn't doing before. I know it's a little TMI, but I mean, that was, that's what we're here for. Um, so that was, um, one of the things that I feel has been a huge change in my life. Um, and also that has been helping. in terms of me having enough energy to get things done. So, uh, I feel like having the energy, it's also changed my mood as well because I'm not struggling as much with my digestion. I feel more confident when I go out someplace because I know that I have tools to actually stop. The nausea that I used to feel or the, um, the low energy that I used to feel. Now, I actually have practices that help me to get my energy back up, or to use the bathroom, or to um handle when the nausea, the nausea. hits and how do I move through that moment. So, I do feel like on a, on a daily basis, now, things have shifted for me in a way that before I was really frustrated, and it led me to being in the program in the first place. And so I'm really grateful for that.
