Speaker: Steve, HM Prison and Probation Service
When did you first hear about Serve and Protect Credit Union and why did you join?
Steve: Hello. So the first question, how did I first hear about Serve and Protect Credit Union. I first heard about them in when I was serving in the British Army. And how did I join? It was through the British Army. They told me about the service and that they helped like the Army, the police service, the prison service and me from going from the Army to the prison service, it's really helped me a lot because I managed to stay with them. And I joined because they sounded a really reliable source and they have been so far. And they were just really helpful.
How has the credit union helped you?
Steve: The credit union has helped me a lot of ways. Helped me get a pretty much or low, interest loan, with a small amount to pay back over a long time. And they've helped me pay off consolidation debts. And one time they gave me a loan to really help me out. And, they've been really reliable, and they've just helped me along the way. And, who they target, so, like the Army and the prison service, it just has been a really reliable source because I don't feel like I could have picked anybody else, really. And, the best benefit of being part of Serve and Protect Credit Union is the fact they take it out of my wages, before I get paid. So not only do I have a lower chance of missing the payment, a piece of my money has already gone to them without me even having to worry about it.
What is the best thing about being part of the credit union?
Steve: OK, so the best thing about being part of the credit union is the fact that if my money gets tight or, I struggle to pay off other bills or anything like that, or I need a loan, they will always consider my case and they're very reasonable and they're very fair. They've always helped me out when I needed to. And, they're a source to think well, if I did ever struggle again, I would always look to them first because they've always been very helpful.
