Dr Ellie Campbell: Hello SAFM family. I'm Dr. Ellie Campbell. I'm a double board certified family physician in suburban Atlanta. And I believe that heart attacks are optional, strokes are stoppable, and dialysis is not your destiny. We have leading indicators in our blood work and salivary diagnostics that can help us identify what I believe is the number one hidden risk factor to the number one killer in our country. And that is poor oral health. I'm going to teach you how to identify leading indicators, blood work, urine testing and saliva testing that can help us predict who is at risk for heart attack, stroke, and kidney failure simply by looking at the mouth. And if you are willing to take the test and do the work, we can nearly guarantee that you will never have to suffer any of these consequences.

Dr Ellie Campbell: By now, most of us are familiar with the concept that simply measuring a lipid test is no longer adequate for helping predict cardiovascular disease. LDL cholesterol is a very poor predictor, in fact. However, we have other markers of oxidative stress and inflammation that when we take a deep dive can tell us is your cholesterol corrupted. Because cholesterol you see is a lot like teenagers, well behaved teenagers are welcome in my home, corrupted teenagers got no business near my children and I believe that we can identify the same in our lipid parameters. Furthermore, we know that when oxidative stress and inflammation are present, this is often driven by poor oral health and it can become a very vicious cycle of inflammation in the mouth, driving these cardiovascular markers that drive up the inflammation that drive the poor oral health. So we got to get everything under control together. And if we are not partnering with a medical doctor, a dentist and a hygienist, we're missing the number one opportunity to prevent the number one killer in our country.

Dr Ellie Campbell: I am so thrilled to be partnering with the School of Applied Functional Medicine to activate good medicine around the world.
