Speakers: Cheryl Goldsby, Membership Director

Cheryl Goldsby: Hi, I'm Cheryl Goldsby. I am the Membership Director for the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Board.

How can peer insights in this community help supply chain leaders with their current challenges?

Cheryl Goldsby: Great peer conversations are just what we do here. The peer insights that are shared are so valuable, because supply chain is just getting more and more complex every day, and our members really need to be able to keep up. Our members tell us exactly what they need to be talking about, and we make that happen for them. They have this protected space that's vendor-free, consultant-free — where they can benchmark with their peers and get the honest answers that they need to help them move quickly. Whether you're navigating digital transformation, retooling your demand forecasting, or looking for new ideas to secure top supply chain talent, the peer insights are really just going to help you. They're going to help you move faster, make those decisions with confidence, knowing you can leapfrog ahead in the process, because you aren't starting from scratch. You're able to learn from your peers about what worked for them, and sometimes, more importantly, what didn't work for them.

What makes the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Board different from other peer communities?

Cheryl Goldsby: I think there are a few things that make the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Board different from other communities. First is probably that it's entirely confidential. It's a safe space, so members are willing to really open up and share, which means you're going to get that information that you're just not going to get anywhere else. I think probably after that, it's that the information that's being shared all comes directly from our other members. These are the people who are truly leading supply chain programs at really large organizations, so they get it. They understand the challenges you're facing, and that's what makes these conversations so impactful. And probably one of the things our members love the most about this community is it's really designed for business leaders. It's not your typical "sink or swim" membership. Everything's going to be fully facilitated. My sole job as a Membership Director is to make sure my members are getting the answers they need, and having the conversations they need to have, when they need to have them. All of this without having to expend a lot of time and energy to extract the value.
