Speaker: Vishnu Parthasarathy, ER physician

Vishnu Parthasarathy: big game changers. I'm able to leave every shift with all my charts being done, even if for whatever reason I forget to do a chart, it's so much easier with the MDM component and the many MDM capabilities of Sayvant for me to do it from home within. Seconds to minutes versus, you know, taking 3 to 5 minutes per chart, which is what it took previously.

How has Sayvant changed how you chart?

Vishnu Parthasarathy: So Sayvant has really changed how I chart. It has allowed me to get my charts done in real time, so I can spend more time with patients and get charts done almost immediately after. there's less dictation involved per chart, and it's also allowed me to capture a lot of the billable components more easily per patient, and it's allowed me to come up with some much better discharge summaries than the ones that are available to us within our EMR.

Has Sayvant decreased your cognitive load on shift (less time charting, more time with patients)?

Vishnu Parthasarathy: You know, the Ambient components is something I'm still trying to get used to, but, um, you know, the times I have used it, it has really allowed me to engage with the patient, not really worry about Memorizing or capturing every single piece of the HPI that I need to to be able to chart perfectly and does allow the conversation to feel a lot more natural and less rushed. Um, and then, you know, by the time I come back, the HPI is already done and I can move on to actually working on my MDM, putting in orders, moving on to the next patient, etc.

Are you spending less time charting after shift?

Vishnu Parthasarathy: So honestly, this is one of the big game changers. So even if I have a chart left at the end of the day or chart, 1 or 2 charts left at the end of the day, I'm just able to get them done so much faster than I used to in the past.

How has Sayvant impacted the quality of your notes?

Vishnu Parthasarathy: What Sayvant has really done, I think that has been a big game changer, is it has allowed us to capture the complexity of a chart, um, the complexity of the care we provided to a patient, uh, as well as to capture all the billable components necessary to build for that complexity without having to input a ton of information or spend a ton of time on the chart for, um, and that in itself has improved the quality of the notes because there's a lot more information on there. Um, then that would, if someone would go back to the node and take a look at it, you'd really be able to tell what happened to this patient rather than piece it together, um, based on the somewhat sparse notes that sometimes are generated when folks try to do it by themselves in a short period of time.

What is your favorite Sayvant feature and why?

Vishnu Parthasarathy: One thing I appreciate about Sayvant relative to other tools out there is that it really caters for towards EM physicians. But if I had to pick one tool within Savant that I found particularly useful and particularly unique, what is the discharge summaries it creates, you know, for example, we use Cerner, even with an epic, there are standardized discharge summaries that are very often impersonal, and I often find myself editing those discharge summaries to provide a more personalized discharge summary for my patient. Um, or discharge instructions for my patient and I find myself now using Sayvant's discharge instructions more and more and more because they truly are personalized. They convey more empathy and they allow the patient to feel like you actually listen to them and the instructions that are provided to them are really truly catered to their specific complaint that they came in for that day.

Would you recommend Sayvant to other emergency medicine clinicians? Why?

Vishnu Parthasarathy: I think I mentioned this previously, but I would recommend Sayvant um to other ER providers, specifically ER providers because the tool is so personalized for the needs and requirements of ER clinicians, um, everything from the way the notes are generated from the HPI to the physical exam to the MDM to the procedures that are and put it in there, to the discharge instructions to the various different types of notes you can generate, um, like. You know, one touch notes, RME notes, um, there's even a beta, um, tool where you can ask questions much like you would chat GPT, but the answers that are are very catered towards, um, information that is pertinent towards emergency clinicians. So all in all, uh, if you're an emergency clinician, I think Sayvant is one of the best tools that you can find out there.
