How has Sayvant changed how you chart?

D Scott Moore, DO, MS, FAAEM: Hi, I'm Doctor Scott Moore, practicing emergency physician, and I want to share how Sayvant has truly transformed my clinical practice. Sayvant was designed by an emergency physician for emergency physicians. That means it understands the unique pace, pressure, and complexity of our work. But what really sets it apart is the team behind it. They're incredibly responsive, constantly listening to feedback from frontline users and refining the system based on real world needs. Before Sayvant, I was buried in the EMR distracted by data entry and repetitive charting. Now I'm fully present with my patients. I'm having real conversations, making meaningful connections and focusing on what matters most. The human side of medicine. Sayvant also lightens my cognitive load. It remembers patient histories, streamlines discharge instructions, and even delivers those instructions in multiple languages, ensuring clear communication across diverse patient populations. It's really great to see when a patient is so excited to have their discharge instructions in their native language. It's not just a charting tool, it's a game changer for emergency medicine. Sayvant helps me be the physician that I trained to be. And it will help you too.

Has Sayvant decreased your cognitive load on shift (less time charting, more time with patients)?

D Scott Moore, DO, MS, FAAEM: I never realized how much cognitive energy I was expending during my shift, simply recalling and documenting the history provided by the patient, then clearly formatting and documenting my medical decision making in a way others caring for the patient could easily understand. After using Sayvant, I quickly realized that I was no longer so energy depleted at the end of my shifts. A benefit that my family appreciates most of the time, at least my wife appreciates most of the time. It's great to leave a shift and feel like you still have energy to interact with the people you love.

Are you spending less time charting after shift?

D Scott Moore, DO, MS, FAAEM: I'm definitely spending less time charting after a shift. My charts are typically completed when I disposition the patient. This is a great relief and keeps me from inefficiently trying to remember and record information that may have happened hours earlier during my shift. Moreover, when my documentation thought processes are interrupted during the shift, I don't have to restart the process or worry that what I'm dictating will not ultimately convey the necessary medical information. Sayvant takes care of the details I give it in real time and puts it into an understandable format for anyone who reads my chart later. I've been asked repeatedly by admitting physicians how I'm able to produce such an information rich chart in a crazy emergency department. The answer is Sayvant.

How has Sayvant impacted the quality of your notes?

D Scott Moore, DO, MS, FAAEM: Sayvant has enabled me to clearly convey all the details of the visit from the history of present illness through my medical decision-making process all the way to the diagnosis and disposition. It effectively captures all the necessary elements I need for appropriate patient care and billing. I've always taken great pride in producing a detailed chart, but Sayvant has helped me improve my charting, most importantly, while saving me time.

What is your favorite Sayvant feature and why?

D Scott Moore, DO, MS, FAAEM: With such a transformational technology on, it's difficult to pick a favorite feature. Nonetheless, I'll try. I love the ambient listening feature that allows me to focus on what the patient is saying instead of a computer screen. I especially appreciate that it listens and communicates in pretty much every commonly spoken language. It's very satisfying to me to see my English discharge instructions translated into the patient's native language immediately below. I especially enjoy seeing a patient light up when they see their appropriately translated instructions and their language is not one that's commonly heard locally. I've even seen it bring tears to some of the patient's eyes they're so excited.

Would you recommend Sayvant to other emergency medicine clinicians? Why?

D Scott Moore, DO, MS, FAAEM: I would absolutely recommend Sayvant to other emergency medicine clinicians, and I already have, for the many reasons that I stated earlier, the reasons for why it helps me, I'm sure it will help others as well.
