What were you looking for in your college search, and how did Saint Vincent fit those needs?
Gina Beneccio: I've actually known since I was little that I wanted to go to Saint Vincent. I'm a local. So, driving past it, it was always the coolest place ever. And I was so excited when I got to come to campus, but it was when I was older that I had more serious interactions with Saint Vincent. And that's where I started to really look into their education department because I knew that I wanted to be an education major. I had a meeting with the head of early childhood education and I learned that the department was very unique because they thought about the whole teacher. They had courses on things that other universities didn't because they knew that it was important and they knew that getting us out in the field was important. They told me and it was true that I would be out in the field within my first year here. And that has been the best experience ever and has set me far above the rest.
