Dustin Renken: Hi, I'm Doctor Dustin Rankin, and I'm the medical director at SAG Veterinary Imaging, or SVI for short. Before that, I was the imaging director at one of our local centers. Today, I just want to share a quick story because if you're watching this and thinking, could I ever do diagnostic imaging, the answer is yes, you absolutely can. Don't worry, we will teach you just like SVI taught me. But how did I get here? You see, my passion for helping animals started a long way from MRI machines on a ranch in rural Nebraska. After vet school, I had the honor to serve as a US Army veterinarian, which included roles as a canine trauma, combat casualty care trainer, a deployment commander, and various other complex missions. And I loved that sense of purpose. But eventually, I felt pulled toward being closer to patients and pet families through day to day care. So I transitioned out of the military and into emergency medicine. At a multi-specialty urban veterinary center. As a mission focused person, I love helping animals. I love helping pet families, and I love providing care that improves the lives of pets and preserves that human-animal bond. But it wasn't always always fulfilling and uplifting. Burnout seeped in, euthanasia became frequent and seemed more like defeat than out of compassion. And clients grew frustrated that we could not do more for them in their time of need. I felt stuck. I also wanted more for them. I wanted clarity. I wanted answers. I wanted peace of mind and I wanted to know that I was making the right decision. And yes, always at a fair price and accessibility of services. And that's what I found in sage veterinary imaging. But wait. Imaging centers are only for large universities and big hospitals, right?
