What is your professional background?
Laura Erdem: Hey, I'm Laura Erdem and I am a sales professional. I have been in SaaS industry for 15 years now and my career in sales started with the bigger enterprises like Red Hat and Gartner, we learn how to sell to the big enterprises and big ticket deals which is very very different from what I do nowadays, the sales in a startup. So at the very beginning you wear a lot of hats and do a lot of things, try to close the first deals, I am the salesperson to close the first non co-founder deals and nowadays we are scaling Dreamdata to the next levels of success as well. I am very much into social selling. So I would call myself like a marketing-obsessed salesperson and social selling is defining a lot of what and how I sell it at Dreamdata nowadays because that's how SaaS people buy and we figured out that it's a big part of our demand generation, so I'm doing a lot of that and and it's a lot of fun. So I'm looking forward to scaling Dreamdata the to the further levels of success with the revenue growth
What will you write about as a Content Contributor to SaaS Nordic?
Laura Erdem: So my content is going to be around social selling and how to close deals using LinkedIn. This is what I do every day, how I create demand, how we, together with marketing, collaborate and work on both demand generation and closing the deals while using LinkedIn social selling.
Why are you a member of the SaaS Nordic community?
Laura Erdem: I think there's a lot to learn from the SaaS Nordic community. It's still very early community and SaaS startups are pretty early in the Nordics as well. That's why I feel that it's a different and fresh take comparing to what you're seeing in the US. So I'm very excited to learn from all of the people who are in the same journey as I am within SaaS in the Nordics.
