Speaker: Jeannette Navarro Habif, Real Estate Agent, Solo Baja
Tell us about yourself...
Jeannette Navarro Habif: Hi, my name is Janet Navarro. I'm 37 years old. I'm originally from La Paz, but I've been living here close to probably 34 years. Um, my dad is from Sonora Mexico and my mom is from La Paz as well. I have a lot of family in Mazatlan. Um, I have a brother. He's a year younger than me and he also lives here in Kabul. Uh, he owns a pizza place. Really good one. It's called Corleone. It's, uh, near the hotel zone here in San Jose and I live with myself. Um, I have a dog which I really dedicate most of my time to. Her name is Wea, and she comes with me everywhere. She's a seven year old adopted dog. So she's really nice and super well behaved. Um, I also like reading. Um, I like going on hikes and going on road trips. That, that's my new hobby, which I really enjoy. Um, I've been in real estate for almost three years now working in Punto in my different positions. Um, and that was a great introduction for me to the real estate. Um, Margaret. Um, my plan is to continue in real estate as you know, and I would love, love to be part of your team.
What experience do you have working in the real estate industry?
Jeannette Navarro Habif: So, as I was saying before, I have already three years of experience working at Punta IA and I've been working in different positions. I started as an assistant manager doing like simple office work. And then I took on more complex duties like um contract negotiation, escrow opening, following up with clients, following up with brokers and agents, organizing um open houses and events um doing reports, doing weekly meetings. Um Eventually I had my team at Punta Nima was I was a team leader for over a year probably where I coordinate schedules, trainings uh supervised and not related to the team. And then I also contribute with marketing, supervising all the content and creating new content for social media. Um I did also upgrade and furniture packages sales. And the last uh role that I had inside a company was a wholesale agent uh in charge of doing and coordinating all the walkthroughs and punch list for uh construction. Uh so we can uh eventually coordinate the delivery of the departments. That's pretty much my, my experience. Now, I would love love to be a real estate agent. Uh not committing to a project and learn more about the market basically.
What have you accomplished in the field you are currently working at?
Jeannette Navarro Habif: So basically, I think there's two very, very important things for me. One is to be able to do a lot of sales in one given moment of the project. Um Basically, the majority of the clients in Punta Nima are my clients and I've been following up with them since then, which leads me to the second most important thing that is the satisfaction of the clients. Uh For me being able to keep those relationships and being able to um call them and even call some of some of them friends. It's a very, very great accomplishment for me. And uh besides that, obviously, all the relations that I have done uh with brokers agents and obviously the people around me, that's the most important thing for me. And obviously, there's another smaller accomplishments throughout my positions that I think I've done a really good job um in. But those are the two most important things for me to be able to sell a no a project uh and being able to keep this relationship safe. Despite all the stages we been through in Punta Lima.
Why are you looking for a new opportunity or change?
Jeannette Navarro Habif: As I mentioned before, I've been working for a real estate developer for three years already. Uh And although I have gained a lot of experience in quite different fields, um I still feel that I need to have all this experience as a real estate agent. Um So, um although I love, love my agency Solo Baja, I think it's pretty, pretty new and doesn't have the structure or the resources or the experience that B has. So that's why I've been thinking for now a couple of months to doing a change. Um So I could grow faster. Um I hadn't done the change before because I was really committed to my project and there was a lot of going on, but now that the project is concluded, um I decided to take this decision and I think it's a really great decision and I'm really, really happy for it.
What skills and qualities do you possess that you believe would be valuable in a real estate sales agent position?
Jeannette Navarro Habif: Having the opportunity to work with a developer, gave me a lot of insight about a lot of areas like the legal area, construction area and obviously the the sales area, also the marketing area. Um And if you take all that, um with three years of experience, I think it gives me already a great advantage uh for the position that I'm applying to. I think that all has improved a lot, my confidence in what I bring it to the table and what I can offer to the client. And uh also a very good quality that I think I bring to the table is the fact that I'm really one person, I'm really empathetic. I love building trust in new relationships with, with people. Uh And also I have great communication skills, written and spoken. And um a very, very important one would be also um really self thought. I like, I love to learn, learn a lot. I read, I try to improve myself a lot each time, both like personally and professionally and I'm very, very eager to keep learning. So uh I'm open. Um I'm very conscious of my limitations also. And what I want to earn, working in a new agency. So, uh I think that's about it and probably I have more skills and qualities that I still have to discover. But, um, that's basically what I bring you to the table and hopefully it's going to be useful for, for your team.
