Rob and Ruth [The Marriage UpGrade]

Rob and Ruth Duren: The biggest thing that has changed in our marriage is our communication before the program. We were not having football fruitful and completed conversations, there would be something that would happen that either I would get triggered or he would get triggered and we wouldn't finish having a conversation. And so we would just have conversations on the same thing, repeating the same conversations over and over again. Since joining the program, we have started having more fruitful and productive conversations where each of us get heard and then we create a resolution. So even the time period of our conversations are shorter and we're able to create the result that we want from the conversation. I like to think that what's changing our marriages is us. Um I think I have become a much better communicator um and also a much better listener. My wife would say things sometimes and I just wouldn't even hear what she was saying. But now I'm a better listener and I'm able to communicate much more effectively. And I think we have grown, I mean tremendously as a couple because of this program and I'm very thankful because of that

Rob and Ruth Duren: Being in the group has been very helpful because then we get to see other couples who are having similar experiences as we have and seeing how they are encountering it, seen um when one person is being coached, we might not even realize it's an issue of relationship and and we can work on what was suggested over the coaching that was given in the program. The way that dr steven has it scheduled is that there's weekly coaching, there's also um follow ups and challenges and a whole bunch of assets to help you become the Level 10 partner that you want to be in the marriage. Such a marriage can improve overall. And so watching other people being coached, watching other people's experiences learning from other people was very helpful for me before joining the group. I thought I was the only one going through certain things, but then once we got into group discussions, I saw that some of the other guys were having um some of the same issues that we were going through and it kind of made me feel a little bit better that other guys were going through things that I was going through and to see how they handle it and how they handled as a couple. And that helped us, I mean grow a little bit stronger and seeing that our problems were not insurmountable, that we can overcome a lot of these things and we have, so that group setting, it was very valuable to us and I'm very appreciative of it

Rob and Ruth Duren: I believe any couple that wants to take the marriage the next level would benefit from the marriage upgrade for us. We came to the marriage upgrade to take our relationship to the next level and to heal some things that had happened in the past and it helped us at every level that we wanted to be at. So any couple that wants to either heal their relationship, fix some things in the relationship But also just improve their relationship so they can have the level 10 relationship that they want can benefit from this program. I know when we first joined this program, my husband was apprehensive but the way that it was approached and the way that we did the work was able to support both of us to become the partners that we want in this relationship. I was actually a little more than apprehensive. I damn sure I didn't want to do it. We actually thought about it but I thought that um you know dr Yvonne and my wife, we're going to double team me and just pick on me, but it wasn't like that um Dr Stephen was very fair, she showed us some of our faults, some of our shortcomings and some things that we could actually improve on and we really worked hard to improve on those things and it helped us out a lot. Um I didn't think it was possible, but she helped me become a better person, not just a better husband. So the program, the marriage upgrade was well worth every penny of it and um thankful to dr Yvonne for all that. She help me and my wife, you know the things that she helped us see that we weren't able to see. So I'm very appreciative of it and very thankful the marriage upgrade actually saved our marriage and made it that much stronger. So thank you.
