What do you like best about the community you live in?

Maneesha from Germany: For me, Cranbrook, it's the perfect mix of all the things I wanted. The mountains and nature are so close, but also there are a lot of opportunities to hang out with their friends after school and the people here are so nice and friendly and it's really amazing.

Karolin and Julius from Germany: Yeah, I really love my family. My host family. They are really nice and the skiing here in the winter is also pretty good. And here at the school is also really nice because you have nice subjects like Outdoor Ed. Um, I love the most about this community is probably my host family too and then I really like it and other people here. I've found so many Canadian friends and it's like fun to be around. And they're also so many internationals, which makes it really, really nice.

Mariam from Italy: uh the thing I liked the most about the community I live in that is Cranbrook is that every person is very kind and they always try to help me if I need something and I love living here and I feel this city as my home now and everyone knows each other and feels safe and comfortable. I'm not scared to walk alone in the night or just to walk alone in the street. And that's the thing I like the most, that I always feel safe and comfortable.

Ayaka from Japan: I think it's nature. I can go climbing, hot springs, and skiing like a lot of activity. I went to hot springs with my Canadian friend. It was so nice and fun. Yeah, it was so nice.

Ane from Mexico: The thing that I liked the most about living in Cranbrook is that everything is walking distance and coming from a big city, it's a really nice change by being independent and being able to go by yourself anywhere you want to go. It's also surrounded by a lot of wildlife in the streets, there are a lot of dears walking around town and the view of all the mountains surrounding it are amazing.

Aymo from Switzerland: the thing that I liked the most about the community is that everyone is so polite and so nice. For example, in Switzerland, we don't say, hey, how are you when you like order something at Mcdonald's or at Starbucks? It's like, it was a little weird for me in the beginning, but now it's like I adapted, it's like automatically you ask someone, how are you, if you order or talk to someone. And that's what I really like. And also the community and the high school is not too big. So you have like a lot of people that, you know when you know everybody knows pretty much everyone and that's something that I really like and it's easy to like meet people when they're not that many.

Sofía from Mexico: One of the things I like the most about the community is that people are really nice and friendly. And also like you have the nature all over the place and there's lots of places where you can go with your family and friends.
