Why did you choose Rocky Mountain International Student Program for your study abroad experience?
Sofía from Mexico: The reason why I chose the RMISP Program for my exchange year was that the program had many wonderful places to go and so many experiences, that you could experience, and also because I have family and friends that have come to the Rocky Mountains and they loved it.
What do you like best about Cranbrook, BC?
Sofía from Mexico: One of the things I like the most about the community is that people are really nice and friendly. And also like you have the nature all over the place and there's lots of places where you can go with your family and friends.
What do you like best about Mount Baker Secondary School?
Sofía from Mexico: One of the things I enjoy the most about the school in Cranbrook, Mount Baker Secondary School, is that we have a lot of classes that I wouldn't take in Mexico. Like outdoor education and woodwork and metal work and art.
What do you like best about your homestay?
Sofía from Mexico: What I like the most about my homestay is that since the beginning of the year, they've been really nice and really welcoming and they've always made me feel like a part of the family. And also I have a German host sister that's really cool that she is here with me because we're kind of like living the same, so it's really fun to share all my experience with her, and I'm really happy with my host family.
What has been the best part of your experience with Rocky Mountain International Student Program?
Sofía from Mexico: I think that the thing I've liked the most from my experience here in Canada is that Things are really different from where I live and I really enjoy experiencing a really different year with a lot of change. But the thing I really like the most is all the people that I've met from all over the world and all the memories that I've created with them.
