Why did you choose Rocky Mountain International Student Program for your study abroad experience?
Maneesha from Germany: Okay, so I chose RMISP because I wanted to do my exchange around the mountains because I love them a lot. So I looked into RMISP online and I saw all the amazing places since they offered to do an exchange year. And I was really amazed and I also watched your video on Youtube. And it was really, really tempting.
What do you like best about Cranbrook, BC?
Maneesha from Germany: For me, Cranbrook, it's the perfect mix of all the things I wanted. The mountains and nature are so close, but also there are a lot of opportunities to hang out with their friends after school and the people here are so nice and friendly and it's really amazing.
What do you like best about your school?
Maneesha from Germany: So at Mount Baker Secondary School in Cranbrook there's so many cool courses you can take. For example, if I compare it to my courses in Germany. Um I joined Outdoor Ed this semester and it's so cool like you go on hikes and camping trips and all that during class time and it's so great.
What do you like best about your homestay?
Maneesha from Germany: My host family is super warm and welcoming and I love them. It's really cool to be part of a Canadian family and to live like their lifestyle. I also have a mexican host sister, which is super cool because I get to share all my experiences with her, which makes my whole experience. That will be fun.
What has been the best part of your experience with Rocky Mountain International Student Program?
Maneesha from Germany: I have been in Canada for eight months now and it has been the best experience of my life. I met so many amazing people from all different countries and I'm certain that these relationships will last for a lifetime. All these people have made my exchange year so amazing and I'm so grateful for it.
