Why did you choose Rocky Mountain International Student Program for your study abroad experience?

David from Germany and Javier from Spain: Hi, my name is David. I'm 16 years old and I'm from Germany hi, my name is Javier, I'm 15 years old and I'm from Spain. The question we're going to answer for you right now is going to be why do we choose Rocky Mountains International student's program for our stay abroad year in Canada. First of all we really like the activities we do each month and both of us were ski fans and skiing here in the Rocky Mountains was amazing and we also have an incredible season. So that's this type of this type of snow. It was really nice. For example, for me when I first started first saw Canada on the internet, I saw some pictures and I was like if I want to go to Canada and if I want to have a Canadian experience then I want to go into the Rocky Mountains mountains as Javier said skiing here was awesome and it was really good choice and when I first thought RMISP I was like this looks like a really good um organization because they're like a very detailed profile of each city and you could really see the opportunities you have in those home stays and yeah, Invermere that's the city we're in right now. It was really good choice. And yeah, thanks to RMISP we both found the city we both both found this friendship and yeah,

What do you like best about the community you live in?

David from Germany and Javier from Spain: The community here in Invermere Uh it's so friendly. They will help you in everything. They could uh if you need a ride, if you need to talk with them, if you have any problem, you always can have them. We always can talk with them. They are gonna listen to you. Yeah, it's like another family.

David from Germany and Javier from Spain: And yeah, as Javier said, the people are very friendly here and they support you. And it's really nice to be in one of these communities, being one of these communities because yeah, you can enjoy every day with everybody you see in this town, they will be your family here in Canada.

What do you like best about your school?

David from Germany and Javier from Spain: what do we like best about the David Thompson secondary school here in Invermere for me. Uh this is school was something new because in Spain each student while the students have class a class and the teachers come to their class. But here, if you have science, you have to go to a science class. If you have math, you have to go to the math class. So for me was something new. I also really like every activity you can do in this school, for example, both of us, we did volleyball teams here are super nice. Uh they are so competitive and yeah, you can meet a lot of people. Really nice coaches. It's really nice and amazing opportunity to live. Yeah. And for example, I was in the computer class last semester and I have to say the equipment that you're using here is really good. The programs are awesome. I don't know if you know the adobe pro programs there for example, using those and yeah, it's just great to work with good technique stuff and in the science lab they have a new stuff. The art room is, is very good with ipads and stuff and yeah, the school is just very modern. It's very nice to work here and the teachers support you in every, in every class you have and yeah, it's just a very nice feeling. They're going to help you in everything, everything.

What do you like best about your homestay?

David from Germany and Javier from Spain: Host families here are really, really nice. Uh they are your family here in Canada. So they are gonna be there always, if you need to talk something with them, you have any problem? You always have, you always can count with them. Uh, we live a bit out of out of town and we depend for a ride, but if we can get it, our host families are always going to have something to do. We both play golf and our family loves to play golf. We already went once and I think we will go a lot of, a lot of other times, it's really nice to have time with them and you learn a lot of english, that's the important thing. So yeah, amazing. So our host family, as Javier said, is supporting us in every case, you can talk to them about everything and what every problem you have. They well, they act like your family and you can trust them and our family is doing a lot of activity activities with us, not just like golfing. That already took us something to some other places like the ski resort in Lake Louise, which was a lot of fun and yeah

What has been the best part of your experience with Rocky Mountain International Student Program?

David from Germany and Javier from Spain: This this question is really difficult to answer because we had a lot of experience, a lot of good experience and I will not be able to say one. We have a lot of friends. Our host family brought us to a lot of different places, beautiful places. I don't know. I I would not be able to say one. We went to Calgary. Uh we went shopping. I don't know it's just really a lot of things. It's just a hard question because you do find stuff every single day I enjoy personally every single day here with friends and it doesn't matter if it's just a simple soccer practice or if it's a day skiing or an RMISP activity, you just have fun with your friends and I think it's hard to choose. Um It's maybe it's I can just say it's like skiing probably. I mean skiing in the Rocky Mountains was awesome. I don't know what was it for you Normally in Spain? I ski around one week and here I skiied 45 days. It was crazy that this powder is not the same than Spain powder. So yeah it was it was incredible. It was incredible.

David from Germany and Javier from Spain: And yeah I think for me one of the best experience where uh they play volleyball with our teams and have fun together win tournaments. I think that was a really exciting moment and it's really nice.
