The McGovern Family: Cade has spent close to 300 nights in the hospital, and the majority of those days, we've used the Ronald McDonald House, either the house itself or the family room.
The McGovern Family: So the Ron McDonald House is a place we had obviously heard about before we used it. But until we started to use it, we didn't really recognize the effects it had on a family.
The McGovern Family: It is life changing when you're in the hospital to have a place to go back to and unwind. To have healthy meals waiting for you. To not have to go to the grocery store to pick up small little things because they're available at the house. Also in the hospital, being able to grab a quick meal from the family room and not have to leave your child outside.
The McGovern Family: It really does make a huge difference in the hospital stays and how we adjust to what's going on.
The McGovern Family: Obviously, a place that we call our home, away from home. And it really does feel like that when we're there.
