Hi, my name is Mila. I use she/her pronouns and I'm videoing in from Montclair, New Jersey. My project is Climbing For Community. We offer free rock climbing classes for children from the local boys and girls club and we aim to break down barriers to access, promote diversity in the climbing community and inspire people to reach new heights both on and off the walls. This year I'm excited to expand and grow my project, either to offer classes for younger children or to expand to different locations. I'm very excited to be a Riley's Way Fellow this year and I'm excited to really learn and grow as a leader and also just to meet you guys and be a part of this amazing community. Hi, my name is Victoria Holdgreve-Resendez and my pronouns are she/her. Hi, my name is Maddy Lee and my pronouns. are she/her. My name is Lauren Nesbitt and my pronouns are she/her. We are a Denver based project called Young Artists 4 Equity. Young Artist 4 Equity is a student led initiative dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the arts for underprivileged youth nationwide. YAE collaborates with arts high schools and elementary schools across the US, with a focus on those in low income areas. Our goal is to provide arts education to thousands of children free of cost. YAE strives to make the arts more accessible and equitable for all students, regardless of socio economic background. One goal we're particularly interested to achieve over the next year is expanding our outreach to underserved schools beyond Colorado, specifically into California and Alabama. This expansion will allow us to bring our programs to even more students who can benefit from arts education. As Call For Kindness Fellows, we are looking forward to connecting with like minded individuals and gaining new perspectives on how to make a positive impact. I'm excited about the opportunities to collaborate, learn and grow together as we work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable world through the arts. Thank you. Hi, my name is Gene Yoon. I go by he/him pronouns and I live in Columbus, Georgia. My project is called Pros and Cons, and with the project, I aim to make debate more accessible for middle school students. And with this project, I will offer students at two Title I middle schools debate lessons. These lessons will be offered one to two times a week for 20 weeks starting at the fall with two tournaments being hosted overall. Initially, I wanted to address with this, with this project is the educational inequity with only 551 out of 15,000 middle schools offering debate programs I started this project in my community. My biggest goal is for this educational opportunity to be provided to these local middle schools and to start helping them pursue learning foundational skills like public speaking or research skills, which they'll need in the future to succeed in life. The thing I'm most excited about with my Call For Kindness grant is joining a big network of other young changemakers who work on other projects that they are passionate about. Hi, my name is Ivy, she/her. I'm Hazel, she/her, and we're from Seattle, Washington. So our project is the Teen Coalition 4 Climate, which is basically this community organization that aims to uplift youth voices in the climate picture, specifically mentoring youth in social and climate justice issues, and we have annual projects like the YOUzine and our upcoming podcast. Yeah, one project goal that I think I'm really excited to share is improving our media coverage so we have a larger social media platform and presence and more people can hear about our organization. One project goal that I have is collaborating with other organizations within Riley's Way and just meeting everybody. So, yeah. Um OK. So for a call, I'm looking forward to being a Call For Kindness Fellow because I'm really excited to just see all the different perspectives that other youth have on really important issues that affect us today. So, yeah, I same with you, Ivy. I also think uh I'm really excited for the experience and the things that we can learn through workshops and through uh sponsors through Riley's Way Yeah. Thank you so much. Thank you!
