Speaker: Brian Joseph, Inventory Manager, ARO Drilling

What problem was your company dealing with before RigServ?

Brian Joseph: Hi I'm Brian Joseph, Inventory Manager for ARO Drilling. In 2019 after the merger between Rowan and Aramco, most of our shared services withdrew and were eliminated. During this time we realized that we had some inventory management issues on board and we needed to get we needed to update the procedures and we ran the whole inventory management and handling setups. So this is where we needed some external help, We reached out to multiple experts and we picked RigServ for their experience in this field and they really stepped in and helped us in multiple areas and we are continuing their services with us

How did RigServ help resolve this challenge?

Brian Joseph: In 2021. You know, we realized we had a lot of excess and obsolete inventory still hanging around on board. We had a lot of rigs getting a lot of inventory which never had been consumed in the last five years. So that's where we reached out to experts, different experts in this field, including RigServ, so to to take a look at our inventory and find out a solution where we can bring these excess and obsolete inventory and set up a centralized warehouse, centralized redistribution set up, I mean, to that's where RigServ stepped in and we really like what RigServ had to offer. and, they, we started out with a complete count on board. After that they had a complete review of our inventory and, they looked at the consumption and put a stocking level, set up whatever excess that was identified was removed from those rigs and brought to a central warehouse for distribution to other rigs in the fleet. So, so this is how we started with RigServ and how they helped us, facing facing these challenges and resolving these challenges.

What results did you get with RigServ?

Brian Joseph: So once we started the project and while we were finishing up each rigs, we understood were there was a major discrepancies in the in the count, the count variances is what we were seeing. the accuracy wasn't right. So, so it I would say it was not up to the mark. So that's where RigServ after, after each, each count on the rigs, they came up with recommendations and findings and with those recommendations and findings, we were reaching out to the rig management, both offshore and onshore and we were able to improve our procedures and how we handled things from there onwards and which gave us a, which gave us a good good feedback from the rig management and I think from there onwards, maybe been monitoring each of the rigs inventory and um how, how we, how we were able to improve from that point onwards, it's um it's it's been from the recommendation from what RigServ has provided.

Is there anything that comes to mind that you could share about your choice of RigServ as a service partner?

Brian Joseph: We have multiple companies who bid for these projects. The reason we each choose RigServ, our service partner uh for our previous projects and ongoing projects is because of what they have to offer. They provide a team of experts who are solely experienced in this field, people who are experienced Five years or 10 years and for 15 years. So um for after each project, after each project and uh they provided with proper recommendations and findings which were very helpful in improving our inventory management strategies. So yeah, choosing RigSev was never any doubt. We are happy with what they have provided so far and will be continued to do so.
