James Roberts: Hi, my name is James Roberts and I'm Head of Revenue Operations for AZA Finance, a B2B payment specialist, helping customers make payments to and from the African continent.

What can people learn from your session at Revenue Operations Summit?

James Roberts: I'm really excited about the session of the Revenue Operations Summit. Revenue operations is a super exciting area to be in at the moment. We're finally getting the chance to step into the spotlight and show you some of the hard work that normally goes under the radar. There are lots of great speakers lined up at the event and I can't wait to hear what they have to say. In my session I'm going to talk about how revenue operations can help improve revenue forecasting and planning. Typically, this has been an area left to the finance team, but it's important for the RevOps to make a big contribution to this. As a RevOps leader I have full visibility of the pipeline, from demand generation in marketing through to customer support and retention. So I can help share what's working well and what needs attention. All this, backed up by the data that we have in our CRM systems and other tools, and I'll share some of the tips and tricks that I've used here at AZA Finance to collaborate with my leadership team and make data-driven decisions that have grown our annual revenue

What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?

James Roberts: Hopefully after the session, attendees will have a few tips and tricks up their sleeve that they can go back to their organisations with and make a real contribution to strategic planning. I'll give some examples of real life metrics that I use and how these help contribute to the strategic planning for the upcoming year.
