What challenge did you have before working with Pete & Emily?

Penny Orme: Hi, my name is Penny Orme. I am Chief Customer Officer at Causeway Technologies. I've had the pleasure of working with Pete for just under a year. He was my coach and he was amazing. One of the reasons I came to Pete actually was, I'd just come from a Series A startup as a VP of Sales and I was keen to get into a C-suite role. and I'd seen Pete's experience, his extensive experience in working with scale ups and start ups in a CRO role and I just really wanted to get his view, any kind of coaching on some of the key things that I needed to do to step up into that role, knowledge gaps. And he was absolutely awesome at doing that.

What did you like about them and how they worked with you?

Penny Orme: What I loved about working with Pete was his ability to simplify things. He always does things in threes. So I'll try and do the same. He would simplify things. He would always take something that was very, maybe complex in my mind and had this ability to break it down into three easy steps. The other thing I really liked about him was obviously his knowledge, he has extensive knowledge and experience that's practical. So it doesn't come from playbooks, he's got actual proven track record experience that I could rely and trust on. And he knows a lot of people in the industry and he'd come highly recommended. And the third thing really is his attitude and his personality. He's an incredibly humble person, very, very open and easy to work with. He's just a really, really great guy and that's really important when you need coaching to work with someone, you've gotta like them, trust them and get on with them.

What results did you get with Pete & Emily?

Penny Orme: Well, the results I got from working with Pete, I've had two C suite roles since he's coached me. So I went as chief operating officer into Susa. And then after that, I'm now Chief Customer Officer at Causeway Technologies at a PE backed scale-up firm, so success all round. I think there was success beyond that though, for me, it was helping me have faith in myself and my ability to do things to help spot gaps in perhaps some of my leadership styles that he's helped me with. He also provided me some really helpful templates and kind of use cases that I could deploy in my workplace. So all in all huge success, he is the person I go to, to recommend to anyone who's looking for an amazing coach.
