What challenge did you have before working with Pete & Emily?
Omid Mael: So what challenge did I have before working with Pete? I mean, it was a long list if I'm being honest. Things that I knew were my challenges and things that I didn't know are actually my challenges. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know, right? I was growing a team, the company was growing like crazy. And in order to be able to mentor and lead that team, you can either make mistakes and learn from them or you can prevent yourself from making those mistakes by talking to someone like Pete. And I was basically falling into the first category, like learning by testing stuff and it was at some point costing me also a lot because it wasn't, it was not a lab where you could test everything just to grow and to gain maturity.
What did you like about them and how they worked with you?
Omid Mael: I mean, the right question is what didn't I like about them? I liked everything. I loved everything when working with Pete. Pete and the work that we did together, they have been a pivotal moment, a pivotal step in my growth. I feel like I gained three, easily, three years of experience in one year of work that I did with Pete. Hard conversations, often times hard feedbacks. it was like being punched in the face by someone who has done it in the past, but in a very good way and it's as if you're talking to yourself, but who has like three additional years of experience, right? Allowing you to prevent mistakes from happening. So I loved everything. I mean, the fact that Pete was talking to me as if he's actually talking to his son. Conversations being so blunt up front, me being relaxed, being myself. It's actually given to every relationship that you get to, to have when working with, with someone like Pete with a mentor, I guess.
What results did you get with Pete & Emily?
Omid Mael: So the the list of results is very long. Things that have resonated with me even today, after two years of work that I did with Pete. First and foremost, that work shaped drastically my confidence, my growth, in the leadership environment that you sometimes get to work in, right? Whether you want it or you don't want it. When you get to have a certain level of maturity and a certain level of experience when working with someone like Pete, the results are like so evident. It's as if someone is basically hand holding you, enabling you to do the right move at the right time with the right people, right? So even today, I'm still actually benefiting from the results. Again, two words come to my mind, the maturity and the enormous amount of knowledge, tangible and intangible knowledge that you get to actually have when working with Pete are still actually giving me results.
