Speaker: Latosia Campbell-Walters

Why did you choose to attend?

Latosia Campbell-Walters: I choose to attend podcast in 411 because I really wanted to learn more about creating my own podcast. And it was really nice to have a conversation with Kim just before I started because it further motivated me to take this course and you know, I was expecting to learn a whole lot about podcasts and this course did not disappoint. I am interested in starting a podcast and I believe that taking this course would provide me with that framework in order to do this podcast. And so you know, after taking the course, I am even more convinced that this is an area that I can get into if I want to promote my personal brand and stand out as an authority in my field. So I am really happy I did.

What was one of the most impactful takeaways for you?

Latosia Campbell-Walters: there are several takeaway from this course. So much dimension. but I would want to say that it's just my impact will take away in particular, is really that doing a podcast is it's a whole lot of work and if done properly, it will pay off in the long run and so learning about how to make the work lighter. different tools that could be helpful that could make the work lighter was very beneficial because at first doing a podcast by in and of itself is very intimidating for someone starting new, especially someone in my field that you know, there aren't a lot of urban planners in the field who are working with podcasting now and so just learning how to how to cut down on the amount of work and make life easier in terms of putting your foot forward and putting your best foot forward um and doing that with with some amount of reassurance that you have some tools that could assist was impactful for me. So that was a big takeaway in addition to the takeaways, was the fact that you have tools that trello that can help you to organize your work and to get those kind of done within record time. So it's been really, really good for me to have taken the scores

Length of course, do you believe 1, 2 or 3 days would be best for the content and implementation?

Latosia Campbell-Walters: in terms of the length of the course. I did feel that um covering this over um in shorter time frame, over a couple of days, maybe even two days would be good because I think we'll be able to do a better deep dive into content and implementation. I think this one was just give a brief overview. It was very high level Yes, some details were captured but it does provide a good introduction but I think to get down into implementation and the steps step by step and provide support to Actually get started, it would have to be done over a 2-3 days cycle. So yes, I would recommend that the course lent and the days it will be more spread out than it is right now. You could do this overview, high level overview but in order to get something much more implemented I think doing it shorter and over a longer days and having more time to kind of work on the content. More fine grain I think will be beneficial.
