Tell us about yourself...where you're from, what you do, your hobbies, etc.?
Angie Moyer: Hi, my name is Angie Moyer. I live in Lee Summit, Missouri. I am a French teacher. I teach at a private school here in Le Summit. Um, I have, uh, two daughters and a granddaughter. Um, I have a husband and a son in law and two dogs. We like to go on walks with the dogs. Um, as our family, we like to do, um, movies and games and watch sports events and I like to do things with my church.
How did your pain start and how was it impacting your life? What did you try before coming to Renuva?
Angie Moyer: So I have had stability, uh issues with my, um, stability muscles in the past and I noticed I was having these issues again last year, but, uh, back in November, I, um, hurt my back at the gym and was in a lot of pain, um, and didn't really know why or what had happened. Um, so I went to physical therapy for several months. I also saw um, my regular chiropractor um for adjustments and decompression, but, um, it just wasn't getting any better. And, um, so I finally had an MRI done and found out that I have a few herniated discs and, um, some stenosis and arthritis in my lower back. Um, and so I did have an injection uh in the summer and it seemed to help at first. But, um, after a few days it was, I was just having the same, um, issues. It may have taken the edge off of the pain, but it didn't actually relieve any of the, um, other symptoms. And, um, then I found um, an ad for Renuva and so I thought I'll just give it a shot.
What convinced you to try Renuva's full treatment program? What was your experience?
Angie Moyer: So after the first appointment that I had at Renuva and, um, Doctor Metcalf explained that, um, they were going to use all of the things that I had tried, um, and do it in more concentrated and, um, holistic way. Um, because I'd had laser treatments, I'd had, um, decompression and chiropractic, um, and physical therapy, but doing them all together at one time in a concentrated effort, um, made more sense to me and, um, looking at, um, the, the cost benefit versus surgery and being, um, off work and laid up, um, for a while, um, seemed to make a little bit better, um, sense to me as well. And, um, I knew I was going on a trip, um, to see my daughter in Florida in a few weeks and I needed something quick to help. So, um, I started the therapies and going, um, 3 to 4 times a week and, um, I didn't notice it right away but after, uh, three weeks and I went to see my daughter, I was able to walk around two amusement parks all day, um, with breaks. Um, not without any, any pain, but without being in such pain that I, I couldn't move or I couldn't get around. And from then on after the, the last, um, week it, um, really sort of turned around for me and, um, I'm not at 100% but I am 100% positive that I would not be where I am right now if I had not come to Renuva and the thing that they said is that they want to help you get your life back. And that's what I've been saying. I really needed to get my life back and get, um, to be active again and be able to walk, um, without being in excruciating pain. Um, and so that's what has helped me. I have not been in excruciating pain for several weeks and, um, that's worth it to me.
