I'm a small PM company owner, why does vision matter to me?
Randall Henderson: This is definitely a question that gets brought up to me often, especially when working with new businesses, which is like, hey Randall, you always talk about the power of the vision and how important that is. Why is it so important for me as a new business owner, even if it's just me? And I will say this, it's a mistake that I made early on in the businesses that I started. The ones where I was able to attract talent early and have some help in the business early to kind of shore up my weaknesses are the ones that ended up being the companies that succeeded and thrived and made it through those early years of starvation, because one thing that can counter the starvation of a new business is attracting new talent and new life and new oxygen into that business. And that's why a vision is so important. People actually will respond. Very favorably to a strong vision from the founder. Where are we going? What are we gonna do? And that allows you to kind of attract people in who can take a lot of the things off of your plate that maybe you don't want to do or or are not good at and help to kind of. You know, move that business through those early stages fast. You focus on what you're great at as an entrepreneur, but it's the clarity of your vision that will attract that talent in. And the earlier that you do that in the business, the better, the more you'll set yourself up for success and feed that business the early oxygen that it needs to succeed. Good luck, have a strong vision.
