Speaker: Matthew Palicki

Can you tell us your name, what you do at Rego, and your area of specialty?

Matthew Palicki: Hello, everyone. My name is Matthew Polii and I'm thrilled to be one of the presenters at this year's Rio University in San Diego. I've been with Rego consulting since January of this year in the role of principal solutions engineer. Prior to that, I was with Broadcom software in a similar role in the Agile operations division for about four years where the bulk of my time has been spent in assisting our clients through efforts like our digital Ecosystem assessment program or providing consultation and thought leadership for clients who are undergoing agile transformations seeking to implement lean portfolio management or just otherwise trying to get better adoption or more value from their P PM solutions. My background is primarily in the end user side of things. I've been in the technology field for 30 years now and prior to joining Broadcom, I was actually with a I see a client for 17 years where I was a PM manager and I was part of the enterprise portfolio management team and I was the processed and tool owner for clarity P PM as well as all of our demand and supply and enterprise portfolio management. Prior a processes which we ran through clarity. So I get really passionate about having these kind of conversations with end users. And one of the most exciting things for me is just engaging with clients and listening to how people are trying to work through their business challenges and helping to find innovative and collaborative solutions to get more value and to maximize the use of the tools and to just help people have a better end user experience. So I'm really excited to be a part of this event and I'm looking forward to seeing you all in San Diego.

What is your favorite class or topic to teach on at RegoU? Why?

Matthew Palicki: So my favorite topic to speak on at Rio University or really at any event, any time I have opportunity is anything around the portfolio planning process. And in particular, when we talk about things like prioritization and aligning work to strategy, I have spent a lot of time working through various versions of processes related to this myself, as well as guiding clients in this area. I've learned a lot of things that work and a lot of things that look great on paper but don't work. So while there's no one size fits all solution uh for all clients, there are many best practices that I love to share and really engage in for some, some fun and exciting conversations and great opportunities to help enterprises improve.

What is your favorite thing about RegoU?

Matthew Palicki: My favorite thing about Rego University, which is the same thing that we hear about from many clients who attend is just simply being able to share learnings and knowledge amongst other clients. Inevitably, there's, even though there's nuances within each organization, there, there's nothing entirely new under the sun. If you're experiencing a problem, there's a really good chance you're going to run into somebody who has faced a similar challenge and has some ideas on how you can take a look at it with fresh eyes. And that's always the most exciting part is helping clients to come together with other similar organizations and helping to learn from each other and share that knowledge and see each other improve and, and just get better and grow together.
