Kevin Rice '19: I bring "cura personalis" into my work by also ensuring that I build in conversation about social locationing with my clients. So that they can locate themselves in the systems that they inhabit or experience in their day to day. An example of social locationing might look like me letting my clients know that I identify as a black male therapist who uses he, they pronouns who is in an interracial marriage and has a biracial child. There's lots of different aspects of social locationing. So I'd like to help my clients figure those things out and embody them so that they can know themselves more and know me more.
