Speaker: Tom Kenny, Senior Associate, 25madison
Please introduce yourself.
Tom Kenny: Hi, my name is Tom Kenny. I work at 25 Madison, which is a venture studio that's based in New York. As a part of my role, we're constantly looking to bring entrepreneurs into our ecosystem to partner with us and, and build a new startup. Trying to find these people is always a challenge. We're catching people at very unique moments in their career and looking for people with deep domain expertise for this surgeon. Um Specifically, we were looking for someone at the intersection of construction and fintech and we had been struggling for a little bit to find good candidates for an entrepreneur and residents role. And then we recruited recruit rock stars and Jeff and the team went out and sourced a lot of really high quality candidates in really, really short period of time and have been really impressed with the people that I've spoken with that he's sourced. Um So we just wanted to take a second to say thank you for all the hard work. Um And it's been a huge help.
What was the outcome of your Shortlist?
Tom Kenny: The outcome is um TBD at the moment, we are still going through the process. Um But what, what I will say is that we've spoken with um 12 really high quality candidates that recruit rock stars has uh sourced and we've moved six of them onto this next round of interviews. Um So we'll see how it ultimately shakes out, but um very, very impressed with the quality of the candidates that recruit rock stars recruited.
What do you love most about Shortlist?
Tom Kenny: One of the things that I love the most about shortlist is um how easy the intros were. All, all you have to do is go into the platform um hit connect if, if I'm interested in their background and, and Jeff with a really quick turnaround makes an email intro and then it's um and then it's pretty quick and easy to, to set up a meeting from there. So I love the speed and the ease of the, the platform.
Would you recommend Shortlist to others? Why?
Tom Kenny: I would definitely recommend shortlists to others. The main reason being that they were able to source really high quality candidates in a short period of time, um, which is all you can ask for.
